Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-07-05
This Privacy Policy explains how Synapt Technologies Inc. ("we") collects, uses and protects your personal information when you use Seydo. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws.
1. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to operate the service:
- Account information: name, email address, password (stored as a salted hash), language preference.
- Order information: the details of what you ask for — for example travel dates, recipient phone numbers for top-ups, and delivery details.
- Payment metadata: amounts, currency, payment method type and transaction status. Full card numbers are handled exclusively by our PCI-DSS certified payment processors and never reach our servers.
- Technical information: device and browser type, IP address, and logs needed for security and fraud prevention.
2. How we use your information
- To provide the service: research options, place orders you confirm, and deliver receipts.
- To process payments through our payment partners.
- To prevent fraud and to meet the know-your-customer and anti-money-laundering requirements of our regulated partners.
- To provide customer support and communicate about your orders.
- To improve the service, using aggregated or de-identified data where possible.
3. When we share information
We never sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service and payment providers (for example card processors, licensed mobile-money aggregators and top-up operators), strictly to the extent needed to fulfill an order you confirmed.
- Professional advisers and infrastructure providers under confidentiality obligations.
- Authorities, when required by applicable law or a valid legal process.
4. International transfers
Fulfilling international orders (such as a top-up to another country) inherently involves transferring the minimum necessary information — for example the recipient's phone number — to partners in that country. Our infrastructure providers may also process data outside your province or country. In all cases we require contractual safeguards consistent with Canadian privacy law.
5. Retention
We keep account information for as long as your account is active. Transaction records are retained for the period required by tax, accounting and anti-money-laundering laws (typically up to seven years), after which they are deleted or anonymized.
6. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to personal information is restricted to personnel who need it, and payment credentials never touch our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we review our safeguards regularly.
7. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may withdraw consent to processing that is not required to complete transactions or meet legal obligations. Write to support@seydo.ai and we will respond within 30 days. You may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
8. Cookies
We use only cookies that are essential to sign you in and keep the service secure. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
9. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect.
